You are probably better off just tossing that string and replacing it.So! Every year you take the box of holiday lights off the shelf, plug them in, and only half of them work. If a fuse goes out again in that same string of lights or if your Christmas lights keep blowing a fuse, there’s probably an issue with the wiring or other hardware components themselves. You can find replacement fuses at most hardware stores, or stores that carry Christmas lights. Place the new fuse in the socket, pressing gently to ensure it’s properly seated, and then replace the fuse case cover.Apply gentle pressure to pop out the old fuse.Using a small flathead screwdriver, remove the fuse cover.Unplug the light string from the outlet and locate the fuse case on the light string. Try switching out the fuse for a new one.
